We get a lot of requests for a list of penny stocks, since there are literally thousands of penny stocks out there, it is far easier to show you how to find and research your own custom list.

First you need to define what a penny stock is, some would consider anything with a market cap under $2B as a small cap or penny stock, others would consider anything under $5 a penny stock. Either way, there are helpful tools that filter all the stocks in market to what ever criteria you are looking for.

To get a list of penny stocks under $5, you can go to stockfetcher.com and run this filter:

Close between .01 and 1

That will give you a list of penny stocks with the last close between 1c and $1. Currently there are over 500 results for this scan.

You can modify that to show you stocks between $1 and $5 and so forth.
